The Space
Casa Solway is a stylish and spacious ground-floor apartment located in the serene Vau neighbourhood of Portimão. This modern retreat offers a seamless blend of comfort and convenience, making it an excellent choice for couples or small families. The open-concept design features a bright living area with a comfortable sofa (which converts into a double bed), a dining table, and a large TV with cable channels. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge, oven, gas stove, dishwasher, and washing machine, catering to all your culinary needs.
One of the apartment's highlights is the south-facing sunroom, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or a relaxing evening. The bedroom boasts a queen-size bed (160 x 200), built-in closets with ample storage, and sliding glass doors that offer a lovely garden view. The ensuite bathroom, along with a second bathroom, both feature walk-in showers and comfort-height toilets. Hairdryers and towels are provided for your convenience.
For year-round comfort, the apartment is equipped with air conditioning and heating units in both the living room and bedroom. Stay connected with free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Additionally, a private underground parking space is available, accessible via stairs or elevator.
Winter rentals
This property is available for longer stays in the low season. We may be able to offer reduced rates on a case-by-case basis, so please do not hesitate to contact us for more information. My co-host, Gianny, is always available for any queries during your stay. He will help with any issues and arrange a meet-and-greet for your arrival.
Getting around
There is free street parking for a small number of cars, and a parking space is available. Walking to the beach and nearby shops and restaurants is the best way to enjoy these attractions.

With both Alvor and Portimão just a short drive away, guests have easy access to a wide variety of attractions, beaches, restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets. Whether you're looking for local seafood, traditional markets, or lively marina strolls, everything you need is within reach.
The apartment is ideally positioned for exploring the Western Algarve, and it’s just a one-hour drive from Faro International Airport, making it convenient for both short breaks and longer stays. This peaceful yet central location makes Casa Solway an excellent base for enjoying both relaxation and adventure in southern Portugal.
SEF Requirements
All property owners in Portugal have a legal requirement to report tourist and guest information to the Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (SEF). Upon booking, we will send you a blank SEF form for you to complete and send back to us prior to your arrival. It is a mandatory requirement.
City Tax Implementation: Effective May, 2024
According to the regulations, the fee is two euros between April 1 and October 31 and one euro per night between November 1 and March 31, and will be charged for a maximum of seven consecutive nights to all guests aged 13 or over.
The measure applies to paid overnight stays in tourist resorts, local accommodation establishments, campsites, and caravan parks, regardless of the booking method (in person, analogue, or digitally).
